Patrick Toole (1840-tbc)

Patrick Toole, son of Patrick Toole (tbc) and Bridget Hill Toole (tbc) was born in 1840 in Renton, Dumbarton. Patrick is the great grandfather (X2) of Andrew Townsley Docherty who is described in this site.

Patrick married Catherine Kean (or King) on the 17th December 1860 in Renton. Unfortunately, the Registrar did not record further information regarding their addresses. By this time, both Patrick and Catherine's fathers had passed away.

Patrick and Catherine had at least two children together. Bridget Toole their daughter, was born on the 18th December 1863 and is described separately in this site. Their son Patrick was a shipyard labourer who married Ann Cannon in 1890. He lived until 17th June 1922, passing away whilst living at 14 High Street in Dumbarton aged 62 years from heart failure. Bridget herself was to pass away just a month later.

Current detailed searches through Scottish records do not identify any obvious signs of Patrick or Catherine's deaths and we know that by 1992, both had passed away. One possible and perhaps likely explanation is that they returned to Ireland.
