John Anderson Hannan (1920-1996)

John Anderson Hannan , son of John Hannan (1890-1947) and Isabella Algie Baptiste Hannan (1892-1983), was born on the 30th May in 1920 in Renfrew. John who was generally referred to as "Jackie", was originally a statistical clerk who married Mary McKelvie Porter on 18th March 1958 from his address of 19 Orchard Street in Renfrew. His cousin Charlie served as witness for the ceremony. Jackie remained married to Mary for the rest of his life and although never having children of his own, he was extremely close to, and loved by, his step-daughters and their children.

Jackie was a considered and careful individual who was fond of board games and habitually dressed in a shirt and tie. In his latter years, Jackie experienced poor health and he finally passed away in 1996.
